The kitchen is not big, but handsome and all the necessities are here.
There is no dishwash machine.
Many fresh herbs are all year round available, such as tyme, bella louisa tea, lemon grass, salsa, mints, rosemary, lavendula, poejo and sometimes basil. Oranges can be eaten from june till august and some in winter.
There are some nice "mercados" around, open markets where a lot of local fruits, vegetables and fish can be bought.
Once or twice a week a fishman comes by to sell fish – often cheaper then on the markets.  Twice a week there is a breadman from alentejo, selling a sourdough white bread. Once a week a deepfreeze van passes by to sell frozen items.
If there is enough availability there are fresh vegetables as well from the garden.
