Looking upon the veranda from the main entrance: The roofing visible is made with eucalyptus and local ´´cannas´´ which is something inbetween reed and bamboo.
The name of our zone is ´´horta das cannas´´ which means the garden of reeds.
In the back there is a jacaranda, a beautifull tree with purplish flowers in spring.
Opposite the jacaranda there is night jasmine which – when it flowers – has a very strong jasmine smell, but only at night.
Also during the flowering of the oranges, a strong jasmine like perfume will be there.
The plot has  a little orange ochard. Most of them are ripe from June till august.
